Nashville, TN. For Immediate Release. January 8, 2018.Pure Music Nashville is excited to announce the addition of singer/songwiter Abby Brown to the label.
Brown’s career commenced at the age of 10 when she and her two younger sisters formed “The Brown Sisters” (later “Flatiron Junction”). Just one short year later, they were invited to sing the National Anthem at Boston’s historic Fenway Park. Fans of the band often commented on Abby’s special gift for singing and performance with a style that is both earthy and raw, complemented by lyrics crafted to tear at your heartstrings.
It’s a style that defies more precise description and the invariable comparisons to other female singer/songwriters. “I am focused on being authentic”, says Brown, “and through honest lyrics and heartfelt melodies, I hope my songs take listeners on a relatable journey.” She had a first row seat in the music business, and learned the crucial importance of “the song” while attending Nashville’s Belmont University with its strong music performance and education foundation located smack dab in the middle of the most active, creative and productive epicenter of the Americana music universe.
In 2017, Abby’s talents came on the radar of music executive and producer John Heithaus and Grammy winning fiddle player, songwriter, world-class performer and producer Luke Bulla, partners in Pure Music Nashville. After months of discussions and making proper arrangements, the team agreed to forge a creative partnership. They’re hard at work on creating both the songs and the marketing strategy for Abby’s first release on the label and according to Bulla, “We’re very excited to be working with Abby and are looking forward to sharing her new music with you in 2018!“
